In-house Development Program – Ages 4-7

Arden’s In-House League is a program designed to introduce the game of soccer to new and continuing players looking for a team environment with both training and games. Development is focused heavily on establishing fundamental technique and basic game knowledge within the 3v3 and 4v4 formats, allowing for advancement as development indicated. All players looking to participate will be placed on a team that will meet twice a week for training and games for approximately eight weeks. Practice and games are typically Monday and Wednesdays, from 6-7 PM, with some additional days being required to accommodate larger number of teams.  All practice sessions and games will take place at Arden Park. Registration includes a t-shirt to be worn for both training and games. Players need to come prepared in their t-shirt, shin guards, socks, and soccer cleats. Christos F.C. trainers will run sessions in conjunction with parent volunteers. Parent volunteers will be game managers with both guidance and assistance from Christos F.C. trainers.

Our In-House U6 Program is for 4-5 year old children that are looking to play a team sports with friends and other neighborhood children, and develop a love of the game. Our focus is on the basics, and having fun, all while learning to work together as a team.

The season begins after Labor Day, and continues through Halloween. The fist 2-3 weeks of the season are practice sessions, which then transition into weekly games for the remainder of the season. Registration fees include an In-House uniform (t-shirt). Players need to come prepared with shin guards, socks, and sturdy shoes (leather soccer shoe and/or cleats). Other details are as follows:

  • The format is 4v4, no goalie
  • Two 20 minute halves
  • Team make-up is typically co-ed
  • Average 8 children per team
  • Field is 40×30 yards

Our In-House U8 Program is for 6-7 year old children and begins to transition them into a larger field that builds off of the fun/excitement of the In-House U6 Program, and works to prepares them for the 7v7 format that they will experience as they step into County Level play. As with the In-House Clinic Program, the season begins after Labor Day, and continues through Halloween.

  • Practice/games take place on County 7v7 Fields

County Level Soccer Program – Ages 8 & Up

Arden’s County Level Soccer Program consists of multiple teams, U9 to U17, playing in the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association (AAYSA) League. Team availability varies by age group, and several age groups have multiple teams that will participate in tiered/different Divisions within the AAYSA format.

Arden encourages children of all ages, and all skill levels to participate, and strongly encourages the multi-sport athlete. Every registered player will be placed on a team. Players must be prepared to practice according to the teams schedule and should attend all practices, allowing for injury and illness. Teams thrive on consistency, and teamwork is built by interaction with players and coaches. When you commit to play, players must be fully able to attend scheduled games and get to practices regularly.

Playtime for players at the County level, per league rules, is generally 50% of games or more based on team size.  The only exception is Division 1, where the minimum time is 25% at coaches discretion.  This is due to the increased competition level.  Playtime can be effected by a players presence at practice.

Games are played against other teams throughout the county on weekends, and some Friday nights (U12). While several games are played at Arden Park, others are within a thirty minute drive. Practices are typically two nights a week (M/W or T/T) TBD by coach. Christos F.C. trainers will run various sessions for teams in conjunction with county coaches. Christos F.C. will also provide training sessions for county level coaches and age group specific curriculum.

Select Soccer Program – Ages 8 & Up

As children develop and become more competent in their playing abilities, some coaches will choose to take the team(s) into a select/travel league. While many of our county teams already participate in year-round play (fall, winter indoor/Futsal, and spring), the objective of this program is to provide a concrete year-round soccer training program that will develop players to their greatest potential, focusing on more competitive instruction and exposure to a higher level of training and play. Along with individual team coaches, these teams will also have specialty sessions with trainers focused in the areas of speed, agility, strength, fitness, injury prevention and keeping. This program requires a higher level of commitment and is meant to provide players with the opportunity to gain recognition that will enable them to achieve continued success on the national, collegiate, semi-professional and professional levels.

Uniforms, off season league dues and additional tournament dues are not included.

Training is typically two times per week, M/W or Tu/Th, in regular season from August 26 – Nov 8 and again from March 30 – June 5 with additional off season play and sessions as necessary. Majority of training sessions will take place in Arden and the surrounding area as permits allow. Location focus will be based on available in conjunction with quality of surface.
